London’s most exclusive shopping experience is going digital, you say? For now, anyway.

There really is no shopping experience quite like Burlington Arcade and we don’t care what anyone says. It’s like stepping back in time but in a totally good way. And while we wait to step back into Burlington Arcade IRL (it means ‘in real life’, don’t you watch reality TV?), they have gone all mod on us and launched a Bespoke at Burlington series of digital initiatives. Which sounds all very Star Trek to us.

What it is is… a virtual schlepp around the boutiques that make up the Burlington Arcade experience, all 22 of the virtual things, including Somlo, Code8, N.Peal with click ‘n’ collect from the likes of Richard Ogden and Hancocks. But that’s all basically to whet your appetite.

Because come December 2, when we will experience a brand new dawn of IRL (remember?) retail, they will be launching bespoke offerings leading up to Christmas: personalised perfumes from Roja Dove, limited-edition pieces from Azza Fahmy, Globe-Trotter made-to-order luggage, timepieces from world-renowned watchbroker David Duggan’s star-spangled collection, Manolo Blahnik’s new in-store cocktail bar where you sip while trying on his fancy kicks (oh that old chestnut!), Lalique’s signature 100-year-old scent with a champagne chaser.

So now you don’t have to stuff the already over-stuffed coffers of Mr. Bezos by buying on Amazon, you can peruse the most beauteous shopping arcade in the known world and get your Christmas list off to Santa quick-smart. He’s not hanging around this year you know, it’s a whole new side of Santa you’ve not seen before.
