We loved Ewan McGregor as Halston in that Ryan Murphy thing. And we kind of watched the Balenciaga one a bit but not much. But what we will be glued to is a new Disney+ series about the life and times and loves and boyfriends and outfits and feuds of the Kaiser himself, one Karl Lagerfeld.
It’s called Becoming Karl Lagerfeld, stars Daniel Brühl, who you might know from one of the Captain America films (never seen any of them, not our thing) and it promises to whisk us between Paris, Rome and the inexplicable nonsense that is Monaco (seriously! Why would you?)
But more than the parties and the fashion shows and the hissy fits with Yves Saint Laurent, what we like most about it is it gives us another opportunity to go on about the day we once spent interviewing him and the gifts he sent us after the event, which must surely mean that he liked us.
