In news that will have you reaching for that first gin and frolic of the day, The World’s 50 Best Bars (that’s what they’re called) have announced *checks notes * the world’s 50 best bars. Which is literally the definition of literally.
As usual – not to show off or anything – London pretty much ranks the highest. In that it ranks the highest. Literally. Not only does it take the top of the bar pops with The Connaught Bar (they’re not wrong. It really is one of our favourites. When the nice man – or lady, we’re open to all sorts – comes round with the fancy trolley and makes it right in front of you, with all kinds of alcohol-laden histrionics, it really is a feast for the eyes/mouth/liver), but London’s also nabbing places 5, 6, 20 and, oh, a whole bunch of other digits.
