Depeche Mode. Quickly!
Stumped for a gift idea for your edgier gay friend? We may have a solution. A good but quite expensive one.
You know how all the clever gays love Depeche Mode? Don’t know what it is but they just do. Even ones who like Kylie still have a soft spot for Dave Gahan and the Basildon boys. Maybe it’s the electronica, maybe it’s the dark leather, could be a mixture of those things.
Well now film-maker and photographer Anton Corbijn, the band’s creative director, has gone through his archives and the boxes under his bed, selected the best and only the very best of his photographs of the band through the years and has put them together in a beautiful book with the help of Taschen, the beautiful book people. It’s called DM by AC, which we kind of like. Has a ring to it.
Yes, it will cost you a cool £100 from places like Selfridges (or online but what do you think is killing the high street if not people buying things online, hmmmm?) but if it’s a good friend, think of it as paying it forward.
